Sara is a
shapeshifter. During the day, she can be found leading tourists into
the wilds
of the African plains, to view the wild animals. At night, she changes
into
Serah, a lioness who helps save her pride and the other animals from
poachers.
Lately, she has been feeling an inner restlessness and the need to mate
nearly
overwhelms her with its intensity. She knows that she must mate, but if
she
does so in her lion form, she will never shift back to human form. Yet,
the
humans that are available aren’t looking very tasty to her, not until
Jack
Wilding showed up at the lodge.
Jack
doesn’t know what has brought him to Africa.
For the longest time he has had severe headaches, aches and pains, and
an urge
to go to Africa. His area of
expertise is
lions, an animal that he feels a kinship to but doesn’t know why. He
finds out
soon enough, once he meets the intriguing, lovely Sara. Jack is a
shapeshifter,
just like Sara, but he doesn’t have any experience with it. She is
going to
have to help him to accept his mission, to ease his way into the change
and
moreover, take him as her own. They are going to have to mate. They are
a
special breed of creature, half lion, and half-human and together, they
are a
force to be reckoned with. They must become one, and defeat the
poachers…
HEAT is a
scintillating book that will bring out your animal instincts. It is
earthy,
sexy and full of HEAT. Sara’s character is a sensual, extremely sexual
being
that lures Jack into his destined role. Jack is masculine, dominating,
yet
completely docile under Sara/Serah’s instructions. That is a quality to
be
appreciated in a man. Sara comes alive under his skillful touch, and he
satisfies her craving to be filled and sated by a man’s sexual
attentions. Ms.
Dawson pens a HEATed tale of lust, animal instinct and raw sex appeal.
