Night Waitress is one out of six individually published short stories that originally appeared in the anthology Phantasmagoria. These stories were the most talked about from the anthology. Each one has a twist on familiar situations.
Lili is just trying to get through the night and make a living as a waitress, but one particular customer won’t take no for an answer. Bruce is in the mood and he’ll use force if he has to. What Bruce doesn’t know is that Lili is no ordinary waitress. She’s a succubus with a conscious who tries to dissuade Bruce for his own safety. Lili is in for a surprise herself, because Bruce has his own secrets.
I enjoyed Lili’s sarcastic voice and reading the story from her point of view. She’s an amusing and interesting character. This story is also appealing because of all the twists that grab the reader’s attention. Lili tells the reader right away about her secret of being a succubus, but Bruce’s secret gives the story an extra dimension. This story is great if you want a quick grin to go with your erotic reading.
