Flight Attendant, Amanda Holladay, decides to move back to her home town when she discovers her pilot fiancé having sex with one of her fellow flight attendants. Amanda quits her job, heads for Elm Creek, Oregon and buys a fixer-upper house. Her little brother Jeff and his best friend since childhood, Dylan Ryder, agree to help her with repairs. Amanda remembers Dylan as the cute dark haired boy with beautiful green eyes, but now he’s 25 and he’s definitely not a cute dark haired boy any longer. Dylan is gorgeous, owns his own construction company, and has grown into someone Amanda desires.
Dylan has had a crush on Amanda since he was 10 years old. Because of the 5 year age difference, he knows Amanda always thought of him as her little brother’s best friend, but he wants to be more. Now that the age difference isn’t a big deal anymore, Dylan wants to make sure Amanda knows he’s interested. Helping out with the renovations of her new home gives him just the opportunity he’s looking for. The seduction begins…
Julia Templeton has written a truly fascinating erotic quickie. Her characters are so well developed and you feel comfortable with them from the beginning. The hero and heroine fall in love a little too quickly for my taste, but with such a short story you gotta do what you gotta do. Dylan is a classic hero who knows what he wants and he goes after it. Amanda is on the rebound, but isn’t afraid to jump in and take another chance. This reviewer highly recommends HOMETOWN HERO. Pick-up a copy today and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
