Auto mechanic Ben Travis is tired of his workaholic, attorney wife’s busy schedule and has decided tonight is the night that will decide the fate of his marriage. He’s come home from work early to fix a special dinner so that he and Paige can talk about their problems. When the phone rings at the time Paige should be home, Ben knows it’s her and that the marriage is doomed. After packing up his things, he is ready to leave once Paige finally gets home.
Paige King-Travis is tired and overworked and is ready to get home to her husband. When she has to stay late because her boss waits until the last minute to spring a new case on her, she is disappointed. Paige is shocked when she gets home and finds her supper has been thrown out and her husband is moving out. She loves Ben with all her heart and knows she’s put her career before her marriage. Now Paige must reevaluate her life and her priorities to see if she can save her marriage.
Paige lures Ben to a secluded cabin under false pretenses. She plans to seduce him and make him see that their marriage can be saved. Ben has already decided that if Paige can’t put him above her career then the marriage is over. Ben’s through playing second. He wants a wife in everyway and until Paige is willing to meet him half way he feels there is nothing to talk about. So it’s up to Paige to decide what’s most important to her. In addition to their other problems, Paige has a problem with her overbearing mother-in-law who thinks Paige is too high class for Ben.
CABIN FEVER is a touching story about two people in love who have lost their way. The sexual attraction is still very much there, but they must find their way back to each other. Each must be willing to give a little, but Paige has the most to lose. Either way she will have to give up something important to her. What will she decide? Can their marriage be saved? For answers to those questions and a chance to read about a charming couple, you must read CABIN FEVER. It’s a great book that I found I didn’t want to put down once I started.
