DARK HEAT by Arianna Hart

Talia Dane is a nerdy bookkeeper with a special gift.  Talia is an empath who can feel the emotions of others.  Talia works hard to keep her shields up to prevent an overload of emotions, but when the emotions are strong she can’t block them out.  Talia’s best friend Cassidy is everything Talia isn’t; sexy, beautiful and flirtatious. Talia is suddenly hit with really evil emotions from a man that Cassidy is attracted to, Talia can’t see him but she feels him.  When Cassidy disappears after agreeing to meet the man, Talia is sure he’s responsible.  When she meets the sexy detective assigned to the case, will she be able to resist his charms?

Finn O’Brian is working a missing person’s case that has him baffled.  When a second girl comes up missing, he seeks the help of her best friend.  Finn immediately realizes that Talia is different from other women, but when he sees her decked out to try and trap the abductor, he’s smitten.  What will he do when he finds out just how different Talia really is?

The secondary characters in Dark Heat are almost as satisfying as the hero and heroine.  They add something special to an already exciting story.  Finn and Talia are spontaneous combustion…they can’t keep their hands off each other.  When they finally give into their attraction, it’s fast, frantic, fantastic…sex supreme.

Arianna Hart is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.  Her writing charms me in any genre.  Dark Heat is definitely hot and one romantic suspense that will grip you from the very start.  If you pass up Dark Heat, you will be left out in the cold.
