| New beginnings........ That is what Jarek Denko was looking for when he became the new
Chief of Police in small-town Eden. He wanted to raise his daughter Allie away from
the rough streets of Chicago and believed Eden would be safer and peaceful.
Then women were being brutally beaten and one was murdered. Eden was suddenly
looking very dangerous. For Jarek, danger also came in the intense and gorgeous
package of one, Tess DeLucca. Tess is a reporter for the town paper and she doesn't
trust cops, especially ones that think her brother is a murderer. But she agrees to
work with Jarek on a professional level only. But working with Jarek on the murder,
Tess also has to work to keep her objectivity, her loyalty to her brother and to
ignore her attraction to Jarek.
While Jarek tries to solve the investigation and protect
the town, nothing protects his heart from Tess. He knows he shouldn't get involved with
Tess while her brother is the prime suspect in his investigation, but he can't help
getting personal with her. Working together to uncover the secrets in Eden and to catch a
murderer, Jarek and Tess learn to trust each other and make new beginnings
together. But first they have to overcome their personal fears and demons, the
dangers lurking in Eden and believe in their newfound love.
ALL A MAN CAN DO is a great beginning to the Trouble in
Eden series. I enjoyed the sexy and humorous romance between Tess and Jarek as well
as the endless suspense. I loved the family connections in this book. We meet
Jarek's playboy brother Aleksy, who is also a Chicago Detective and Tess's brother Mark,
who is the prime suspect in the investigation. The interaction and protectiveness of
the siblings add a touching and sometimes humorous aspect to the story. ALL A MAN
CAN DO is an excellent blend of romance, suspense and family. Virginia Kantra kept
me on the edge of my seat with this book, I suspected who was the murderer, but was
still surprised at the end when I was proven right!!! I'd would like to move to Eden
with Jarek Denko protecting it!!
