ALL A MAN CAN BE by Virginia Kantra

Even before meeting his new boss, Mark DeLucca held a grudge against her.  Mark had wanted to buy the bar that she now owns but couldn’t come up with the funds.  But during his first meeting with Nicole Wood, Mark knows that he has to be strictly professional with her.  Nicole comes from class and money while Mark grew up poor with an abusive father and an alcoholic for a mother.  Nicole is the type of woman that Mark usually has brief flings with, but he knows from the start that Nicole would be difficult to walk away from.

Nicole Wood planned to start a new life in Eden.  She bought The Blue Moon to have something of her own that no one could take away from her. She has always been attracted to the “losers” who always want something from her and she is determined to steer clear of men that are totally wrong for her.  Unfortunately, she is attracted to her bartender, who is good-looking and dangerous to her heart.....Mark DeLucca.

When Mark receives the bombshell that he has a son from a relationship years ago, he knows that he has to work hard and prove that he can be a good father.   When Mark includes Nicole in the visits he has with his son, Nicole can’t help but wonder if Mark only wants her for her help with his son Danny and to get the bar that he wants so much, or if he wants her just for herself.

It was wonderful visiting Eden again and  I have enjoyed all three books in this series immensely.  Mark DeLucca intrigued me from book one.  He was mysterious, dark and dangerous and I desperately wanted to know him better.  I had faith in Virginia Kantra to bring me a wonderful, sexy hero that I would enjoy going through layer by layer to the man beneath and she didn’t disappoint.

In ALL A MAN CAN BE, we have a hero and a heroine who desperately want to be loved for themselves, want someone to believe in them and to just be there.   Mark meets his match with Nicole;  they were entertaining and endearing characters.  Their instant attraction to each other was intense and explosive.   I loved this third installment of this series and Ms. Kantra is at her best bringing us quick and brilliant dialogue with characters that readers can connect with.

I enjoyed this entire series, the town and it’s citizens. Ms. Kantra has been an auto buy for me since I read her first SIM years ago and I enjoy her strong writing and her strong characters that continue to be in my thoughts long after reading the last page.  Ms. Kantra is a favorite of mine and I am eager for more of her books in the future.   Maybe someday we can visit Eden again............
