| After the death of the man that Niccolo
Nick Corelli considered his father, Nick returned to his old home in Australia
to the ranch he grew up on called Yarra Park. Nicks
father, Joe, left Yarra Park to him and to Tamara T.C. Cole, the horse trainer
who has worked at Yarra Park for many years. Nick and the other members of the Corelli
family assumed T.C. was their fathers mistress and that is the reason she was left
half of the ranch. When T.C. and Nick meet for the first time, T.C. mistakes Nick for a burglar
and confronts him with a toy gun. Before
realizing who Nick is, T.C. pats him down searching for weapons and feels an instant and
sizzling attraction to him. Once T.C.
realizes who he is and why he has come to Yarra Park she is eager to give Nick her share
of the ranch and have him gone before she gives into her attraction to him. T.C. loved
Nicks father like he was her own but feels that the ranch belongs to the Corelli
family and begs Nick to consider just taking her share and allow her to remain the horse
trainer and stable manager. Nick isnt
too quick to make that decision and decides to stay on at the ranch until he has made his
decision and all the legal matters are concluded. The
more time Nick and T.C. spend together the harder it is for them to fight their intense
and explosive attraction to each other.
I loved this book and its characters.
T.C. and Nick are both stubborn people who hate to give in and this trait makes
this story delightfully intense and an unforgettable one.
T.C. is the type of lady who doesnt adjust well to change and when Nick comes
home and she has to face her attraction to him she is fearful to give in. T.C. had been hurt in the past and likes living in
her safe little world on her own, working at a job she loves with no distractions. T.C. isnt prepared for Nick, who she feels
is too worldly and too good for her. For
Nick, he is intrigued by T.C. He has never
found a place that he can call home, even when Joe took him in when his mother died he
never felt that Yarra Park was his home. But
Nick finds the more time he spends with T.C. he cant imagine his life without her.
Bronwyn Jameson brings us a wonderful romance with strong,
determined and memorable characters. Ms. Jameson also brings us the magic that is
Australia with colorful and fascinating descriptions of the ranch and the surrounding
landscapes. As a fan of Ms. Jamesons I
am eager for more of her memorable works in the future.
I am not only Addicted To Nick myself, but I am addicted to any books by
Bronwyn Jameson!
