Eleanor Swanson never really had what one considered luck with men.
Though she was talented, bright, and attractive it seemed she always
attracted the wrong type of man. It was at a night course on acting held
at the local high school that she met Angel Snow. A so-so actor who was
there to perfect his skills. At first he seemed a normal guy but after
the first few dates he began to pressure her into making a more of a
commitment in their friendship. He began stalking her even to the point
of killing her cat because it was taking her affection away from him.
When
she told him it was over she thought it was, yet Angel had other ideas.
She took a job in a club where she met Emile Boisier, an older Frenchman
who seemed concerned over her problem with Angel.
Emile
was in his late thirties and had been everywhere and done everything,
yet he found it was insignificant when he met the young woman. He
offered her a safe place to stay when it was evident that Angel had
broken into her house. Soon the friendship became more and they became
lovers. Emile gave her the security and love she had always wanted and
never really gotten.
It is
a lovely story and though romance is not the main point it gives the
reader a new twist on the traditional romantic story and one I think
you'll like
