Julie Goodwin is the good girl in the
small town of Plenty, Australia. She is
divorced, always takes care of others, lives with her roommate Kree and is ready to lose
her good girl image.
Zane OSullivan escaped from the
town of Plenty at his first opportunity. He
and his sister Kree grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and he was glad to get out of
the snobbish town that treated him like dirt when he was growing up. Now he has returned to Plenty to help out his
friend at his auto-body shop. Over the years he has returned from time to time and his
visits have always been short and sweet. However,
when he rescues good girl Julia Goodwin after she drives her car into the ditch, he vows
to keep his distance no matter how much he desires her.
Except that now he doesnt seem so anxious to leave town.
Zane knows that he isnt marriage
material and that he isnt good enough for Julia, but on the night she tracks him
down at the local bar, all his pep talks are forgotten.
When he holds her in his arms during a dance, he doesnt want to let
her go and gives into the sweet temptations she offers.
After their night of passion Zane does leave town, but Julia is never very
far from his thoughts. For Julia, the night
of passion with Zane was a dream come true. As
a teenager she dreamed of the bad boy and will always cherish their night together. Then she learns that the best night of her life
brings her a piece of Zane that she will always be thankful for. And when Zane returns to town when he is injured
and she has to take care of him, she is determined to keep her secret and not settle for
anything less than love.
ZANE: THE WILD ONE is the first of a
four book series that is set in the Australian town of Plenty. I enjoyed the love, loyalty and the sizzle in this
book. Julia is the shy, quiet girl that we
have all been at one time in our lives around that one bad boy that we knew we shouldnt
have dreamt about while growing up, but I loved watching Julia go after and snag her man! Zane touched me deeply. The bad boy that just wanted to fit into his
hometown and be known for the man has become, not the boy that he was. Zane wanted someone to love him for who he is, his
flaws and all. The characters in this book
are all intriguing and even at times comical. Bronwyn
Jameson brings us a touching and beautiful romance with some very real and unforgettable
characters. Even though this is the first of
this series, this book can stand on its own. Ms.
Jameson is one author to watch for in the future!
