Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn and Kinley
MacGregor combine to write three dazzling tales of sexy heroes to die for.
In Ms. Kleypas' delightful "Against the Odds", Lydia Craven
has spent the last four years believing Jake Linley dislikes her. After
all, she overheard him say so himself at a weekend party at a friend's estate.
Now she's only hours away from marrying the wrong man. Will
Lydia realize her mistake before it's
too late?
Kinley MacGregor, who most readers will
recognize as Sherrilyn Kenyon, takes the middle spot in this anthology with "Midsummer
Knight" in which Simon of Ravenswood writes love letters to the woman he adores
but can never hope to marry. Now Lady Kenna has arrived at the
castle and he must confess that he misled her and he's not the powerful man she believes
him to be. What can he do? If he tells
the beautiful lady the truth, surely she's bound to hate him! When Lady Kenna discovers
the truth, will their love, manifested in their letters, stand up to the truth?
Ms. MacGregor writes a tale that strikes straight at the heart - can a princess of
Scotland dream of marrying the man she loves, a man who lays claim to nothing else than a
valiant heart?
Ms. Quinn's "A Tale of Two
Sisters" is a story of an unwanted marriage on the part of both parties. Charlotte Thornton has had enough of the pre-wedding festivities for
her sister as does Edward Blydon, Viscount Burwick, who has lost patience with women
chattering and continually pestering him - and in less than three days, he's about to
marry Charlotte's sister, a woman who is as
bland as boring as a monotone color. Ned desperately tries to
convince himself that marriage to her can't be such a bad thing until he meets sweet Charlotte. Then
the issue becomes more complicated.
Each of these three novellas concentrate on
the turmoil getting married to the wrong man or woman can cause but the satisfying
conclusion to each predicament is often unexpected. If you're looking for a special hero
to fall in love with, this reader is certain you'll find one or more in WHERE'S MY HERO?
