After 10 years in the FBI, Rafferty Sinclair thought he was prepared for anything. Well, he was wrong! Nothing could have prepared him for this latest undercover assignment, complete with a dress, pantyhose, wig, stuffed bra, and makeup. While cross-dressing hadn’t been one of his best ideas, Rafferty felt sure it would help in taking down the computer espionage criminal known as “The Blade”. What he hadn't counted on was Annie Blaszak. Annie, currently suspect of being “The Blade”, is Rafferty’s assignment. But Annie knows Rafferty only as Texas business woman, Ramona. The more Ramona gets to know Annie, the more Rafferty wants to prove Annie’s innocence so he can shed Ramona and get to know Annie as Rafferty. Confused yet?
Annie Blaszak is on her first assignment as a private investigator. Well, since she’s the boss, it’s really her first job, but “assignment” sound more private investigator-ish. She’s determined to take her skills as a reference librarian and become a top-notch computer P.I., and catching “The Blade” will jump start her new career. No matter how driven Annie is to close this case, she can’t help but get involved in the lives of her new friends, Ramona, the poor dear needs some fashion help, and Chris, a professional woman wrestler, needs some man help. Plus, distraction hits her head on when Rafferty, posing as a Texas oil man, shows up and starts putting on the moves.
Rafferty the man or Ramona the “woman”, Annie the librarian or Annie the P.I., with both playing dual roles, what will it take for them to wade through the false layers and grab hold of the feelings brewing underneath? Will Annie be able to trust Rafferty when she sees through his false front, or was it his falsies? What about “The Blade”, will he ever get captured?
Reminiscent of the Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon movie, Some Like It Hot, WEB STORY is a non-stop hysterical tale of cross-dressing, bad guys, and finding love. The torments Rafferty goes through as a woman only gets more hilarious as he starts to prefer one support hose over another, and has difficulty choosing between Passionate Purple or Perfect Pink nail polish. WEB STORY is like one of those great carnival rides that you just keep getting back on because it’s so much fun! Feel like taking a ride with a fun romantic comedy?
