Elise Beauchamp has a Djinn with an attitude
in her house. Elise has handsome trouble and she doesn't want to
have anything to do with him. After the tragic loss of her husband, she is left alone in
the world, yearning for the day when John was alive and with her. A
year after John died; she stops at a shop and uses the last of her money to buy a small
bottle which she opens after getting home. To her mixed astonishment and horror, a near
naked man appears. Flustered, she encourages him to find Santa
Claus and he immediately leaves for the North Pole, only to find that there is no such
person. Perturbed by Elise's attitude, he returns to her house
and starts slowly stripping away her clothes - to her dismay.
After several more attempts to rid herself of
his presence, Elise starts to feel an attraction for this seemingly capricious Djinn. For Raheem, he tells her to feel human is to become human but can't
resist the lure of this beautiful female. Making love to his
'myska' however, is an act that might cost him more than he's willing to give up. Will he
do so? How will Elise react to his attempts? Will THE DJINN have
a 'happily ever after' ending?
Ms. Morin does a terrific job of hooking the
reader into the first sentences of her novel. Raheem and Elise
are both likeable characters a reader can sympathize with. Their
love, although ill-fated is heartrendingly touching. The love
scenes are passionate and intrinsic to the storyline. After
reading THE DJINN, this reader is off to find a Djinn for herself to have a little fun...
