Samara Murphy has never had a one-night stand
or fling before, but when she vacationed in Jamaica she met Connor ORiley and spent a week
of dinners and dancing with him. On her last night in Jamaica, Samara gave into the feelings Connor
brought to life in her and found passion for one night only in his arms.
Samara returned to her life as an editor and never once regretted her night with
Connor and thought of him often.
When
she learns that her one night with Connor created a child within her, Samara is torn as to
whether to contact Connor or to just move on in her life without him. Samara
tries to contact Connor, but after a month of not hearing from him after leaving him a
message, she moves on with her life and prepares to be a single mom. But
then Connor shows up out of the blue and Samara finds herself in danger and only has
Connor to protect her. What dangers have come to Samaras
life?
DEA
agent Connor ORiley never forgot his one night with Samara Murphy.
When he was shot during the job, that night and her long legs were the only things
that kept him going. When Connor learns that Samara tried to
contact him, he lands on her doorstep to find out why. What he
learns shocks him when she tells him he is about to become a father. Connor
is glad to be with Samara again, but when strange and dangerous incidents begin to occur,
Connor wonders if an unknown enemy is using Samara to get to him. Too
many things have bothered Connor after his last assignment and he fears he may have placed
Samara and their unborn child in danger. Can Connor keep his
newfound family safe?
Arianna
Hart writes a romantic suspense tale powerfully and splendidly. Surprise is a fast-paced tale that draws the reader in and holds one
captive right until the end. Samara and Connor are engaging
characters whose presence shines throughout the story. Samara is
a delightful and independent woman who doesnt really need Connor, but is very glad
that he is around for her and their baby. The mystery and danger
surrounding Samara and Connor is suspenseful and I was reading furiously to find out who
was out to get them and why.
Samaras
best friend and doctor, Macayla is also a dynamite character who will do anything to
protect Samara. I found myself intrigued and loving Macayla along
with Samara and Connor. Danger and intrigue, as well as a romance
that eloquently shines between Connor and Samara in Surprise makes it
a must read. I didnt know Arianna Hart could write romantic
suspense, but she does and she does it masterfully. I hope Ms.
Hart delves right in and writes another one soon. I would be
first in line to read it! This is a new author that I am very
impressed with.
