Jessica Taylor was an aspiring actress when
she met Dane Pierce. His green eyes, stunning good looks and sex
appeal drew her to him like a bee is drawn to honey. After much
heartbreak and tears over Dane, Jessica soon realized that he was not the man for her. But Jessica still loved him, still desired him and held out hope that
maybe one day they might have a future together.
But
Jessicas eyes soon landed on Cory Mac MacKendall, another actor but one
who became her friend first. Jessica and Mac moved in
together, sharing all but their beds with each other. Both never
acknowledged the niggling feelings of desire for each other, until it could no longer be
denied and they found a love like no other.
But
Dane is still a capturer of some of Jessicas heart and a big part of her and
Macs life. Can a woman love two men? What
does the future hold for these three people the woman they both love and the men
that she cant live without?
There
is so much to say about Anne Carters STARCROSSED HEARTS that it is difficult to put
it all into mere words. This is a tale full of love, deception,
passion, self-discovery and drama. Each of the three lead
characters is distinct, charismatic and intriguing. The big
question I kept asking myself while reading this tale was, is it possible to love two men? Of course the initial reaction is no, yet Ms. Carter pens a tale that
left me wondering and thinking that maybe it is possible. Maybe
for different reasons a woman can love two men, which I came to the conclusion at the end
of this tale. I was compelled by the relationships in STARCROSSED
HEARTS, as well as frustrated. I was very surprised that Dane and
Mac ended up buddies, each looking to the other for advice and acceptance.
Dane and Mac of course were bonded by their mutual love for Jessica.
I had a hard time with Dane though. He is an intriguing
man, but some of the things he did and said, didnt sit well with me and left me
wondering sometimes, what exactly Jessica saw in him. There is
more to this story than meets the eye. It really gets the reader
thinking and pondering life and love. STARCROSSED HEARTS is an
amazing and riveting tale that really has to be read, to be believed. Anne
Carter is an author I will be looking to read more of in the future.
