SISTERS IN TIME by Ginger Simpson

Denver, Colorado, 2002

Taylor Morgan has been married five years to David, is successful at her job, what more could she ask for?  Taylor and David don’t see eye to eye on much these days. David wants Taylor to have more time for him and maybe have a child.  But Taylor is too focused on her job and doesn’t think the time is right to have children.  Taylor’s life goes through a drastic change when she is in a car accident.  Taylor and David’s lives will never be the same.

Colorado Territory, 1872

Mariah Cassidy loves her husband Frank and their two children very much.  Life has been good to the Cassidy family and Mariah can’t imagine life without them.  But on the day they are traveling by wagon to the nearest town for supplies, their lives change forever when they encounter rattlesnakes that spook the horses and Mariah is thrown from the wagon.

Two very different women and two very different times.  Will Taylor and Mariah discover who they truly are when they are thrust into worlds that are completely puzzling to them?  Will Mariah and Taylor ever make it back to their rightful homes and families again?

Stunning is just about the only word I can come up with to describe SISTERS IN TIME by Ginger Simpson.  This story flows with such ease and comfort that the reader has no problems following along and is captivated by everything in this story.  Mariah and Taylor are two different women who learn so much about themselves and the reader can at times really identify with each of them.  Ms. Simpson writes this captivating and mildly suspenseful tale with sharp and precise depictions of the times in late 1800s and does it with class. This is a thoroughly enjoyable story from start to finish.  I was riveted throughout and could not stop reading it once I began.  SISTERS IN TIME comes highly recommended.  One has to read it to believe it!
