Katie Webster is
the envy of New York City. She has it allexcept the truth about her missing husband.
Katie is living the
American Dream. President and owner of an international five-star hotel chain, she seems
to have it made. Beauty. Money. Power. But appearances can be deceiving. Katies
husband has been missing for almost two years. Has he been killed? Or is he living in
seclusion somewhere, hiding from their enemies?
Disturbing dreams
keep Katie awake at nights. Shes convinced her husband, Ben, is still alive
somewhere and needs her. The Vice President at the hotel offers Katie the use of his
Vermont weekend home, hoping to help Katie relax and get over the terror of the past but
someone has followed Katie to Vermont. Who is it and what do they want? Do they know
something about her missing husband? Or are they only after her?
Katie is a
realistic woman. Even though she has the money the average woman only dreams about, I
could easily relate to her. She has taken over her husbands position out of
necessity, proving to herself and his family that she can manage an empire. She is even
able to fight the monsters from her past and maintain sanity. The suspense in the book is
awesome. I am usually able to figure out what is going to happen early on, but there are a
couple of surprises in this book which I didnt see coming. I was rooting for Katie
and her friends as they searched for Ben.
SHADOWS OF LIGHT is
the third book in the series. I recommend that SHADOW OF DREAMS and SUMMON OF THE SHADOWS
are read first as there are many things referred to in SHADOWS OF LIGHT that dont
make sense without the first two books. If the other books are read first, they will be
explained and youll know whats happening better. Even though I didnt
read the first two books, SHADOWS OF LIGHT still grabbed my interest and kept the pages
turning. Pick it up today! $11.99, 393 pages.
