Kyla
Keating knows that there are things about her that must remain a secret
and
which should go unresolved, but when her quiet life explodes, she is
nearly
killed and finds herself being protected by people she doesn’t know,
claiming
that she is the ‘chosen one’, she knows it’s time to face the music. Kyla never had a normal upbringing, hearing
things
normal people didn’t hear and feeling things normal people didn’t feel,
but she
ignored everything to make her demanding mother happy.
The only normal thing in her suddenly chaotic
life is Joe Connor, the man who she fell for hard and quickly. She never thought he was different than what
he seemed, but when she discovers who he really is, even that can’t
stop her
from loving him and wishing things could be different.
When Joe’s life is threatened Kyla will do
everything she can to keep him safe.
Bodyguard
Joe Connor never imagined guarding Kyla Keating would lead to more than
just
watching her to see if anything unusual happens when she’s around. Joe finds that Kyla is everything that he
could want in a woman, yet a relationship with her could get in the way
of his
role as her ‘Protector’ that his employer says is his destiny. But when Kyla is nearly killed and he
realizes the extent of his feelings for Kyla, Joe vows to never let
anything
happen to her. Joe is embroiled into
things he never imagined, never believed in and never knew existed, but
he will
stand by his woman to keep her safe and conquer whatever comes their
way.
Being
caught between religious groups, pursued by killers, learning that she
is the
most integral part in a Prophecy and a love that is being torn apart
before it can
really begin, sets high stakes for Kyla.
Can the love between her and Joe survive? Will the Prophecy be fulfilled before it’s
too late?
After
reading Prophecy: Revelations,
I have a new appreciation for the writing and creative talents of
Brenna Lyons. This story was masterfully
written,
compelling, emotional and suspenseful.
And the ending! This
story ends
at a very crucial moment which was kind of frustrating, but I have to
say that
it makes the whole book, this series of Prophecy
all the more climatic and stunning.
There is a lot of mystery, enigmatic characters
besides just Joe and
Kyla, the main characters and paranormal essences that keep one riveted. I hope that Ms. Lyon's will bring us a story
featuring Joe's buddy, Eric. He was a very sweet and charismatic
character in this tale. This book speaks of religious views that
do
not overshadow the story at all and adds many aspects to ponder on. Prophecy:
Revelations is action packed, stunning; a one sitting read and
shows
the true talent of Ms. Lyons in this reviewer’s opinion.
I eagerly await the sequel Prophecy:
Rapture,
which is to be released very soon. I
have already read Revelations
a second time in a matter of a few weeks; it just
keeps calling me back for more.
