Three beautiful women, from different walks of life, each deal with men, emotional pain and decisions that will have a strong influence on their futures.

SWEET TOOTH

Photographer Shanta Barrett and her sister Abby listen to the popular call-in dating show Thirty-Something nearly every night. One particular caller raised Shanta’s awareness just a bit. Dean claims that women don’t like his laid-back style, and that because he works in the medical field, women’s expectations of him vary. Abby calls in and arranges a date with Dean, while pretending to be Shanta. Problem is, Shanta is tired of all the problems that go along with dating. Never mind the fact that she doesn’t trust men all that much, especially since Abby’s in a difficult relationship, and Shanta can’t stand to see Abby unhappy. Will Shanta follow through with the date Abby sets for her? When you read this novella, you’ll find what it takes for Abby to trust Dean enough to give him a chance.

PRETTY BOYS

Phaedra Dean has been using her gorgeous looks to get by for years. She’s had problems, though, and is really just getting back on her feet. Success is new to her, and she is going to make the most of it. She has her pick of magazines to model for – now, if she can just find a bachelor with a six-figure income, she’d be all set. To be honest, Phaedra isn’t the nicest person around. She knows that when it comes to being a Supermodel, beauty can fade really fast. She just wants to get as much out of it as possible. Read this arresting story about changes that Phaedra experiences like she’d never have suspected.

INDIAN SUMMER

Phyllis Henderson is in an on-again, off-again relationship with Rod. He disappoints her, lies to her and cheats on her. But, she’s broke and he helps her, and makes it possible for her to keep food in the house and pay a few bills. One of these days, she is going to drop him, and manage on her own. Things did not start out that way for Phyllis and Rod, but that is how it’s turned out. That opportunity comes sooner than she expected when her neighbor, biker Levi Jones, begins to show interest in her. Phyllis worries that he’s going to end up being just like Rod. INDIAN SUMMER is an affecting story and one that will leave you feeling good.

Each novella in PRETTY BOYS is amazingly thorough, each telling a captivating story in its own right. Three women, each from a different class, all have the same thing in common, falling for “pretty boys” and thus experiencing problems in these relationships. Strong characters, with meaningful situations, will definitely keep you riveted while reading this anthology. Ms. Grosvenor knows what it takes to draw readers to her books.
