Lady Sarah Iverson wants to continue
the archaeological dig that her late husband began. The
legend says that the Viking Village where the dig is taking place is haunted and cursed,
and many people have been killed there. But
digging in the earth, finding ancient secrets is what Sarah loves and she feels that she
owes it to her late husbands memory to continue where he left off.
When the
new owner of Ransome Hall, where the Viking Village is located, comes to take possession Sarah is concerned as to
whether she and her crew will be able to continue their work, or if the owner will ask
them to leave. Lord Miles Rutledge is not
what Sarah was expecting when she meets him and she feels drawn to him despite the fact
that he holds her future, her lifes work in his hands.
When
accidents and murder occur at the Village, Sarah and Miles work together to find the
truth, deal with a legend that neither believes and look to each other for solace......and
love.
In an era
when ladies of society were attending balls and tea parties, Lady Sarah Iverson defied the
rules and works with passion to find ancient artifacts that tell their own stories. Amanda McCabe captures her reader with a story of
danger, intrigue and love. The touching
romance between Miles and Sarah as well as the small secondary infatuations with
Sarahs sister, are touching and enchanting. Sarah
is a strong woman in her time who has a need for companionship in her life and the need to
feel strong arms around her. Miles is a man
with demons from the past after being in the military for years. Miles finds love and solace in Sarahs arms
and falls for her hard and fast.
Ms. McCabe
writes this tale eloquently with an intriguing plot and heart-warming characters. This Regency by Ms. McCabe is a pleasant read with
exciting suspense that readers can enjoy.
