When
Morgan Wakefield saw lights coming from the house on the abandoned land next to his, he
went to investigate. Suspecting it was just
kids trespassing, he couldn’t believe it
when he found a pregnant woman in labour. Being as it would take hours to get her to the
nearest hospital, Morgan decided to take matters into his own hands to bring the child
into this world.
All
Samantha Peterson wanted to do was set up a camp for homeless and abandoned children and
she plans on using the land her deceased Grandfather left to her, to do just that. But alone and pregnant, Samantha never thought
she would be stranded with a gorgeous cowboy when she gave birth or become in such dire
straits, but Morgan is her only hope.
After
bringing Samantha’s baby boy, Timothy into this world, Morgan feels responsible for
him and his Mom. When Morgan learns that
Samantha has no where to stay since the land she inherited isn’t fit for anyone to
live in, Morgan brings her and Timothy to his home, the Lonetree Ranch, until she is on her feet again. Both Morgan and Samantha have been hurt in past
relationships and are wary when it comes to matters of the heart, but the emotions that
they invoke in each other, soon begin to explode under the Western skies. How long can either of them deny their attraction
to each other?
Be
still my heart!! These Wakefield brothers just keep getting better and better. First, BRANT showered us with his masculinity, now
MORGAN goes a step above that, with his sensitivity underneath the masculinity. (I don’t
know if I will survive COLT <g>).
Kathie
DeNosky brings us book 2 of the Lonetree Ranchers Series, and it is as delicious as
BRANT was. Morgan Wakefield plays his
emotions close to the chest, but when he shows those emotions, it is touching and even
magical. Morgan is a man’s man, who isn’t
ashamed to claim or possess his woman. Morgan
and Samantha are wonderful characters who bring out the best in each other. Ms. DeNosky brings heart, tears, passion and
family to her readers once again. Samantha
has never found a place to call home and it was with tear-filled eyes to read, when she
realized that she finally found her home...with Morgan.
It was wonderful to read what’s been happening with the Wakefield family, and
wonderful to have Brant, Annie and Colt to read about once again. Ms. DeNosky masterfully sets us up for book 3,
Colt’s story, in this tale and I for one, am even more eager to read it.
