Christie Hanuman was devastated when her 7 year marriage ended. She
vowed to remain single, never exposing her heart to such pain again.
Living in Loving and running a day-care center filled the missing spot
in her heart where a child and husband should abide. It’s not that she
didn’t want to stay marry, she did. It was her ex-husband, Patrick who
had other ideas. And, now Patrick is back in Loving.
Christie can’t believe it when she runs into Patrick. His father is ill
and needs Patrick’s help with the hardware store. What Christie also
isn’t prepared for is Patrick’s sweet little son, Sean. For seven years
Patrick refused to start a family, but Christie felt, he sure didn’t
feel that way about his new wife.
Patrick returns home to Loving after the death of his wife, to help his
sick father with the hardware store. He runs into his ex-wife Christie
and wants to heal the mess of their relationship. He’s changed. He’s a
Christian now and wants the same thing for Christie. Could the Lord be
leading the two together again?
Christie thinks her heart is set in cement for good, well, especially
where men and marriage are concerned. You’ll have to read the book to
find out if God will be the jackhammer to Christie’s heart letting her
love once again.
Author Gail Gaymer Martin never fails to satisfy a reader’s thirst for
love, emotion and satisfying endings. She writes love the way it’s
supposed to be. I highly recommend Loving Care.
