When
Lady Diana Westover accepted her aunts invitation to join them in Bath, she sees it
at the perfect opportunity for her, not for finding a suitable husband, but to do some
research for the book she is writing. She
soon finds the subject for her research -- Viscount Adderley makes the perfect model for
her books villain.
Edmond Terrington,
Viscount Adderley, starts stumbling upon a rather lovely, quick witted young woman in the
most unlikely places. Their encounters
usually end up in a battle of wits that prove to be infuriating and even embarrassing at
times. However, he can not help but feel
intrigued.
Despite the fact
that Edmond and Diana spend a good deal of time at odds with each other, they soon start
realizing that there is more than meets the eye. Diana
shows a depth of personality that Edmond has not seen in any other lady of his
acquaintance. As to Edmond, he is the exact
opposite of what Diana has been lead to believe. How is that possible?
Kiss Me
Quick is a charming and sweet romantic tale that leaves the reader with a rather
heartwarming aftertaste. The plot and character development are excellent. Even though the main characters begin at odds with
each other, that soon changes, as they discover that they have more in common than they
ever expected. The adversarial note provides
for some rather entertaining bits of witty dialogue.
The heroine is an intelligent, witty, and educated young lady that knows
better than to judge others based solely on gossip and hearsay. The hero is an honorable, loyal, trustworthy man,
albeit unfairly misjudged by society. Kiss
Me Quick is a truly delightful historical read appropriate for romance lovers of any
age.
