Lady Sophia Aberley paid a high price
for love seven years ago. Sophia believed
that Julian Rexley truly loved her and when she attempted to seduce him, they were found
in a compromising embrace by her father. Sophia
was humiliated and ruined in society when Julian refused to marry her. Believing that Julian never really loved her and
wanting to hurt him as much as he hurt her, Sophia wrote the tales of their affair and had
them published for all of society to read.
Earl of Wolfram, Julian Rexley has
raised his younger sister, Letitia since the deaths of their sister and their mother years
ago. Now that Julian has decided it is time
for Letitia to be married, she is fighting him at every turn. But Julian is furious when his younger sister
disappears and takes refuge at Sophia Aberleys home.
Angry that he has to go and collect his sister makes him all the more
furious with the deceitful Sophia. Years ago
Julian barely escaped her marriage trap and wants nothing to do with her. When Letitia bargains with him that she will
return home with him and give the gentleman callers a fair chance....only if Sophia
returns with them and is a guest in their home, Julian agrees and vows that history will
not repeat itself no matter how much more lovely
Sophia has become through the years.
Sophia and Julian fight their
undeniable attraction to each other while living und the same roof. But when scandal and lies play their evil part
once again, can Julian and Sophia trust each other enough to marry.....and with each
others hearts?
Kathryn Smith provides two characters
who were young when they first fell in love and who learn tough lessons about themselves,
love and each other. Sophia is a strong and
determined woman who desperately wants to be loved. She
never felt loved by her parents, definitely not by her first husband and believes Julian
never loved her and refuses to trust him with her heart.
Julian is a strong, loving and
charismatic man who will do anything for his younger sister and his best friends, but has
a difficult time trusting Sophia after she betrayed him years ago when he loved her
desperately. Seeing Julian and Sophia mature
throughout this story, grow into their own and seeing their love bloom was beautiful, with
touching words and poetry. A reader can feel both their pain from past betrayals and
their desire for each other, and their desperate need to be loved. Ms. Smith delivers this passionate love story with
skillfully written words and fabulous, realistic characters who struggle with a love that
has lasted through years of separation and hurt. This
is my first book by Kathryn Smith and it definitely wont be my last. Kathryn Smith enthralls readers and leads us INTO
TEMPTATION.
