For federal agent Cole Yardley,
butting heads with fellow agent Elise Campbell was his favorite past-time. For years the two of them had decided they were
better off just agreeing to disagree on every subject, every case they have worked on and
became professional enemies.
But on this latest job where they are
both investigating gun-smuggling in Mission Creek, Texas, they both learn that you
sometimes have to get really close with your enemies. Cole and Elise both break their golden rule about
not getting involved with co-workers and share one night of incredible passion. But when one night leads to many, they are both in
unfamiliar territory with newfound feelings towards one another and an intense passion
that neither has ever felt before.
Cole and Elise must decide if their
relationship will come to an end when they solve their investigation or if they have a
future together, complete with.....a baby!?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from
beginning to end. Cole and Elise are two
amazing, stubborn and comical characters who are a delight and a perfect match. Their attraction to each other was heated, spine
tingling and I was entranced with their heated arguments, Coles Caveman
tactics and through each earth shattering kiss.
Cole is an alpha male who learned from
his father that women are to be protected and cared for, not out solving crime and hunting
down murderers and other criminals. Elise
finds Cole too overbearing and arrogant, but still sinfully sexy. Both characters are enjoyable and unforgettable.
If readers are looking for passion,
humor and danger in their books, then this latest Kathie DeNosky tale is a MUST for them! Ms. DeNosky has always been a favorite author of
mine and each book just keeps getting better.
It was wonderful to return to Mission
Creek with this latest tale in the Lone Star Country Club Miniseries. Kathie DeNosky doesnt disappoint with
this hit!
