Micha Winship (Mike) is going home. A home where no
good memories lie. Mike left home at a young age, thrown out by her father. Now twenty
years later father is dying and wants to see her.
Mike is so far removed from her childhood life, she reinvented everything. A successful
career and glamorous lifestyle have strengthened her and she has no bones about setting
the record straight when she gets home.
This homecoming, however, forces Mike to face ghosts from the past, and to tangle with new
threats. Including the possible loss of family land. Land that Mike once thought useless.
Mike opens up old wounds to make peace with her past, and to live comfortably in the
present. But, will she be able to gain peace, forgiveness, and most importantly love and
family? Or has too much time and life gone by?
HOMEPLACE is a typical Anne Rivers Siddons book. Real life characters seem willing to do
almost anything for self-preservation. And, the Siddons books Ive read are sometimes
difficult to finish, so full of angst and real life situations they are. If deep plots and
the darker side of life compel you, Ms. Rivers Siddons books will certainly satisfy.
