HAVE YOU SEEN HER? by Karen Rose

Special Agent Steven Thatcher is a widower and father working on a serial murder case that hits very close to home. In Steven’s small town, there is a serial killer preying on cheerleaders. While working very hard on the investigation, Steven has some serious family issues that require his time, and that are pulling him away from what he needs to do to find the missing girls.

Right about the time the first girl’s body is found, Steven begins having trouble with his oldest son, Brad. Brad has been an excellent student his entire life. Suddenly, his grades have dropped and he’s experiencing many problems. Brad’s teacher, Dr. Jenna Marshall, contacts Steven with hopes of helping Brad. Jenna proves to be the light in his life that Steven needs. However, Steven had been hurt badly before, and his lack of trust could ruin anything good that could happen between him and Jenna. Jenna also had been hurt in the past, and her life is about to become very complicated – filled with danger – and she herself has issues that must be resolved in order to ever be able to have a future with Steven.

Who is the serial killer, and how closely does it touch the lives of Jenna and Steven?

HAVE YOU SEEN HER? is a book that is impossible to put down. Karen Rose takes an incredible plot and makes it so thoroughly intriguing that the reader is kept guessing. In addition to that, Ms. Rose uses many points of views, with a rigid timeline – a period of about three weeks – to the point that every reader will find themselves consumed by this astounding book. Astounding is just one word to describe HAVE YOU SEEN HER? Other adjectives would be spectacular, striking and stupendous. It is not often I read a book that leads me to tears – sometimes for pages at a time – and then leaves me with a feeling of “WOW!” at the very end. Kudos to Ms. Rose for writing such a book.
