buddys, the other members of The Bastion Club to assist him in finding
a murderer. As the truths begin to unfold, Tony finds himself
drawn to Alicia irrevocably. Finding the murderer soon becomes all the more important as
Tony realizes he wants Alicia for his own
Will
the truth come between Tony and Alicia?
It
was a pleasure returning to The Bastian Club in Stephanie Laurens second tale
of the series, A Gentlemans Honor. Alicia
was a shining star in this tale. Though her dishonesty is frowned upon, it was necessary
for her familys well-being and futures. Alicia was a
strong-willed and independent woman who was used to fighting her own battles and taking
care of her family on her own. She grudgingly accepted
Tonys help, yet she stayed in step with him about the murder investigation. Tony is a charming and debonair man who leaned a lot about himself
with Alicia and in turn, teachers her a lot about herself, her desires and shows her how
good they can be together.
A
wonderful historical romance that gives us more glimpses into the men of The
Bastion Club. With each tidbit exposed about the other men, the more my curiosity was
piqued. Ms. Laurens writes a great romance with a few splashes of
mystery, enhancing the enjoyment. I look forward to book three of The Bastion
Club series, hopefully very soon!
