Kaylee Simpson loved Colt Wakefield all of
her life. When she was growing up, tagging along behind her
brother, Mitch and his best friend Colt, she knew she would love him forever.
Three years ago, Kaylee and Colt shared one night of passion and solace in each
others arms after burying her brother Mitch, who had been killed when riding a bull in
competition. The next morning Kaylee woke up alone and never
heard from Colt again
When Colt suffers a broken arm and Kaylee
Simpson is tending to his wounds, he is excited, yet hesitant about being face to face
with her after three years of silence between them. When he
walked away from Kaylee as she slept, feeling guilty for sleeping with his best
friends sister, he never knew what he lost. But when Colt
tracks Kaylee down at her apartment to talk, he realizes exactly how much he did lose when
he comes face to face with a little girl who has raven curls and the Wakefield blue eyes
Book three of the Lonetree Ranchers
series, COLT, takes readers back into the lives of the three Wakefield brothers, the love between them and the
ladies that they cant live without. COLT is a delightful read with the cutest little
cherub of a girl in Colts newly found daughter, Amber and the instant love that Colt
has for her is so touching and endearing, it has one reaching for a tissue.
Kaylee and Colt do a lot of soul searching in their story and the adolescent love
that Kaylee had for Colt, which she thought she was over, she soon realizes has become a
womans passionate and full-grown love that is undeniable.
At the end of book two, MORGAN, we read of
Kaylees brother, Mitchs death and how Kaylee and Colt were left with much
grief and their parting of ways, leaving the reader to think that they couldnt see
each other without grieving for Mitch so they parted company. That
was all we had after that tale and when I began reading COLT and learned of their
passionate night together, resulting in Amber, I nearly fell off my seat! I never expected
this spin but got extra comfy to see how Colt, the strong bull riding cowboy, would deal
with this new addition to his life. <g>
One of the best things that I enjoy about
Kathie DeNoskys writing is her cowboys of course, but also the bonds of family and
friendship, in-depth characters and the true romances that she pens. It
is always a pleasure and an adventure reading a Kathie DeNosky title. These
Lonetree Ranchers were wonderful stories that had desirable and charismatic
men and their wives who were just the thing to settle these bachelors down, all leaves the
reader knowing that there is no greater love in the world than ones true love. I hate to say good-bye to this series already, but I anxiously await
the next Kathie DeNosky cowboy to hit the shelves, hopefully very soon!
For passion, love and family, pick up COLT,
along with his brothers BRANT and MORGAN and take a ride with these cowboys!
