Mason de Cimmerian, the Dark Sorcerer, fell in love, given him power that corrupted him. He rejected the magic and that is going to kill him. Mason’s wife, Perion, will do everything in her power to keep him from the magic that constantly calls to him. She has borrowed and read a book instructing on sexual matters and will use what she has learned, as well as her body, to save Mason.
The Clear Cold Light of Morning is actually a sequel to another story, however, it is very much a stand alone. The reader is given enough background so as not to feel lost. Mason is an extremely tortured hero, the magic keeps pounding at him and it is taking his health and mind away. Perion is a very strong and determined heroine; she refuses to let Mason go . . . even when he demands it. The emotions, as well as the sexual encounters, are tangible enough to make the reader feel the sadness and determination of the characters, as well as the full out passion of two people with an already established love. A must read, run and get The Clear Cold Light of Morning; you’ll be begging for the re-release of the first book (I’ve already started).
