Juliet Bridger,
famous movie, TV, and video game star and murder mystery writer, has had enough. She is tired of the fake parties, fake people,
nasty ex-husband and, most of all, she is tired of the fake tabloid stories about her. In the middle of a party at her house, Juliet
decides to leave and go on the road to find her true self again.
Doctor Cole
Sheridan, a veterinarian, has too much on his plate.
He owns his own clinic in small town Plentiful, has custody of his late
sisters 5 daughters, and he cant keep a nanny around for longer than a few
days. Nanny number 13 has just informed him
that she is leaving and he has two hours to return home, when he sees a woman stranded on
the roadside. Being a small town gentleman,
Cole has to stop and help, even if the crazy lady treats him like a serial killer.
Ms. Berg never ceases to amaze me with her
amazing ability to create situations, characters, and places that I fall in love with
every time. Plentiful, Wyoming is the
quintessential small town. Everyone knows
everyone, and even though not every part of it is beautiful, it is home. Juliet is a real person. Even though she is a famous movie star and has a
lot going for her, Juliet longs for the way things were when she was a girl living in a
small town. She has insight beyond what
people think she might have. Cole is the
nicest, hottest veterinarian. He helps
everyone and everything, even though it upsets his carefully scheduled life. The instant attraction and subsequent romance
between these two is hot and enjoyable. There
is even some blackmail and intrigue thrown in to make an already fun and enjoyable story
even better. I thoroughly enjoy all of Ms.
Bergs novels and this one is no exception.
