ALWAYS TRUE TO YOU IN MY FASHION by Valerie W. Wesley

Artist Medora Jackson has loved Randall Hollis since she met him more than twenty years ago. Now it’s time to cut Randall out of her life. But letting him go is harder than she thinks.

Randall has always loved Medora. She’s the woman who keeps him sane. His best friend. He always shows up on Valentines Day, Christmas, and her birthday, every year, without fail. But Medora isn’t enough to keep him satisfied. As her art dealer, he sees her at least once a month and keeps a close eye on her paintings.

Ana Reese-Mitchell is about ten years older than Randall. A rich widow, she hopes that Randall will be her second chance at love. She is an African American art buyer, and has fallen in love with Medora Jackson’s work.

Ambitious graduate student Taylor Benedict is sure Randall is the first rung on her ladder to success. In spite of her friends’ warnings, she is adamant she will continue to see Randall.

What will happen when the three women find out about each other? Will Randall be able to maintain his dignity? Will any of his women continue to see him? Or will the man of all seasons be completely destroyed?

I didn’t want to fall in love with Randall, but I did. The author portrayed him very well, and I came to care deeply for him and hoped he would make some right decisions. The women characters also were very well developed. As a reader I was able to identify with each one of them, experiencing their emotions, and angst.

ALWAYS TRUE TO YOU (IN MY FASHION) contains language which some readers might find offensive. Some of her comments seemed rude and slowed the story down considerably for me. That said, ALWAYS TRUE TO YOU (IN MY FASHION) is a quick read which will draw the reader in and keep their interest.
