Annie
Gideons sister, Becca, and Beccas husband, Davis, are killed in an auto
accident. Annie pours all her energy and love into caring for their baby girl, her niece,
Marcy. With no will, no one knows for sure what would happen to the property and mansion,
except it will go to Marcy. Annie plans to move Marcy back home to Boston and let the
lawyers take care of the rest.
Link
Morgans best friend and business partner Davis Conrad liked him so much he
asked him to be his daughters godfather. Now, Link wonders what will become of
Marcy, Daviss holdings, and the business. The only solution is to marry Annie, Daviss
sister-in-law. But, after their dating fiasco years earlier, when Link hadnt been
the most endearing person, Annie wont even talk with him.
Its
not until the reality of Links prediction that Daviss cousins Frank and
Julia Lester, will demand custody of Marcy to get to the rest of the estate, hits Annie,
that she seriously considers his proposal. Maybe this is the only way to protect Marcy?
The Lesters, avowed childless and happy-to-be-so people, suddenly take an interest
in the baby. Now, they will do anything to get custody of their sweet darling second
cousin, Marcy.
ALWAYS
IN HER HEART is delightful. There is a moment in the book when you realize one of
the characters feels love so deeply he makes a sacrifice you wouldnt imagine him
doing when you first meet him. Second chances and sacrificial love themes resonate through
the pages, ultimately reminding us of Gods sacrificial love, in the gift of His son,
Jesus. And, the author expounds on the importance of taking second chances to make things
better, make things right.
Marta
Perry is a talented storyteller. The characters are friends from the first page. Its
been a long time since I met someone like the Lesters' whom I could not like so
completely. The fast moving plot makes ALWAYS IN HER HEART a page-turner. I made the
mistake of thinking Id read a few chapters before bedtime and finished the book that
very night.
I
highly recommend ALWAYS IN HER HEART. You will be happy to have read it.
